Polk County Justice Center - Balsam Lake, Wisconsin The Polk County Justice Center combines all county detention needs, sheriff’s department, courts, and court related legal offices into one facility. The detention facility is a 160-bed podular jail design comprised of secure cells and work release dormitories. The design will accommodate future expansion to 300 beds. The sheriff’s department includes a new dispatch/911 center and a 40 vehicle enclosed garage. In addition to three juried court rooms and appropriate ancillary spaces; the courts wing includes the family court commissioner’s hearing room, district attorney, clerk of court, register in probate and child support departments. |
